2008 Incident # 27.03.08 1430UTC

The full Coastguard team was tasked to search for three missing children on Stonebarrow, the fields and cliffs between Charmouth and Golden Cap, Dorset.  West Bay Coastguard together with police units and a police helicopter were also used in the extensive search.  The Lyme Regis lifeboat was called in to search the beach and coastline and found the children at the bottom of St. Gabriel’s Steps, a narrow pathway leading down to the beach from Stonebarrow.   The children, two young girls and a boy, were then reunited with their parents, safe and well.
