2009 Incident #9 16.03.09 1541UTC

The full coastguard team was tasked to rescue a 10 year old boy who had become trapped, up to his thighs, in mud 15m up from the beach.  The casualty had climbed the ‘nose’ of the major landslide 100m east of Charmouth and had climbed up the slips towards the cliff edge.  The casualty was recovered safe and well with the help of his father.
