The Coastguard team was tasked to recover a family of four stuck in the mud from a landslide 200m east of Charmouth. The two parents had become stuck up to their waist. Another passing family had raised the alarm and had helped. On arrival at scene, the parents had managed to escape. They were checked for injuries and escorted safely from the beach as a ‘spring’ high tide was still coming in.
