2009 Incident #18 26.05.09 1615BST

The IRT together with the RNLI inshore lifeboat were asked to assist a nine year old girl and her father at the beach at Charmouth.  The father had become concerned that his daughter had swum too far offshore with her fins and rubber ring.  On arrival on the scene, the father had managed to swim the 75 metres to recover his daughter.  Although exhausted both father and daughter were safe and well.
