2009 Incident #30 25.07.09 1708BST #3325

The full team were asked to assist with the recovery of a 61 year old male casualty who had collapsed having been at  sea all day.  The casualty was stretchered to the Lifeboat Station where he was given first aid prior to the arrival of a paramedic.  The Coastguard team were already at the harbour as they were participating in 999 Emergency Services Day, raising funds for the RNLI Lifeboat week.  The casualty was subsequently taken by land ambulance to Dorchester Hospital.
