2010 Incident #9 26.02.10 1535UTC #0582

A member of the public was apprehensive about the owner of a pair of Wellington boots that had been left very neatly at the bottom of a large cliff landslide on east beach at Charmouth.  Whilst common for members of the public to lose  items of footwear in the thick mud, the way these boots had been left gave cause for concern.  Two members of the coastguard team checked the landslip for any signs but nothing was found.  As the were no reports of a missing person, the IRT was stood down.
