2010 Incident #29 01.06.10 1758UTC #2053

The full Coastguard team was tasked to help the local police search for a missing 11 year old girl who had wandered way from her family on Charmouth beach.  She had been missing for two hours before the alarm was raised and had ventured west towards Lyme Regis.  As the team assembled at Charmouth to begin the search, the girl was found and reunited with her parents.

If any parent is concerned that their child is missing on the beaches or cliffs, they should not hesitate to dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.  The Coastguard are quickly able to provide manpower and resource to  that situation.  The worry of having a missing child is very stressful and receiving help promptly should reduce that anxiety.
