The IRT was tasked to assist the Dorset Police and the RNLI search for a despondent 32 year old female in the Lyme Regis area. She was located knee deep in the water on Church Cliff beach. Due to the high tide, access to the area was difficult. The lifeboat crew managed to persuade the casualty to climb on board the boat and she was returned to the safety of the lifeboat station. The casualty, from Somerset, was seen by a paramedic and then taken to Dorchester Hospital for further treatment.
