2010 Incident #36 18.07.10 1818UTC #3219

The IRT was tasked to search for a 55-year-old female who had suffered a panic attack after becoming lost in countryside around the Golden Cap and St Gabriel’s area.  A group of German visitors had helped the casualty who was found safe and well by the Coastguard at Seatown.  The police and the Coastguard then found her car in the car park at nearby Langdon Woods.   The lady was wholly unfamiliar with the area and knew her limitations.  In these circumstances, she acted correctly and quickly called for help from the emergency services.
