The IRT was asked to assist South West Ambulance Service with the recovery of a 62 year old female casualty who had broken a rib during a collision of sailing boats.  The accident happened during a race off Lyme Regis when a boat hit the casualty’s vessel knocking into her ribs.  The sailing club’s safety boat brought the lady ashore were she was treated for her injuries.
