2010 Incident #46 07.08.10 1307UTC #3736

The IRT, Initial Response Team, was tasked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the breakdown of a 5.5 meter RIB, 1.3 miles south of Lyme Regis.  The boat lost its steering and was drifting away from its five divers in the water below.  The boat immediately called for coastguard assistance.  The RNLI inshore lifeboat recovered the divers, 3 who had already surfaced, to shore and then returned to bring boat back into Lyme Regis harbour.
