The Initial Response Team, the IRT was tasked to assist South West Ambulance with the rescue of a 16 year old female from the coast path near the top of the Golden Cap. The young lady had slipped, landed very awkwardly on her back and was in considerable pain. After crossing several fields, the teenager was located and brought down in the Coastguard 4*4 vehicle to the waiting ambulance. She did not require any further medical attention.
