The whole Coastguard team was tasked to search for a missing eight year old girl on the east beach at Charmouth. The mother had become separated from the girl during a fossil walk some 750m east of the River Char. Fortunately the girl was found shortly after the 999 call. She had returned to the rest of her family who had not gone on the guided walk.
