2012 Incident #31 19.07.12 1436UTC #2709

The Initial Response Team (IRT) was tasked to reports of a middle-aged man stuck on the rock armour, near Cobb Gate, Lyme Regis. A member of the public made a 999 call concerned for the man’s welfare. On arrival at the scene, it was established that the ‘casualty’ was not physically stuck but too frightened to climb to safety. After establishing that the casualty was uninjured, the coastguards reassured him whilst climbing with him to safety. The casualty was ‘checked over’ by a paramedic and he was then able to carry on with his visit to the town.
