2012 Incident #56 15.10.12 1947UTC #4703

The Coastguard Initial Response Team, the IRT was tasked to two people trapped on the North Wall by the rising spring tide.  Despite their apparent proximity to safety, they had been stuck for five hours in deteriorating weather conditions.  It was decided it was in the best interest of the casualties for Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat to launch to recover all the ‘casualties’ .  The visitors were all returned ‘safe and well’ to the lifeboat station.
