The Initial Response Team , the ‘IRT’ was asked to investigate the circumstances surrounding a 10 metre cruiser boat whose engine had experienced fuel problems 12 nautical miles out to the south south west of Lyme Regis harbour.  The Lyme Regis lifeboat crew had towed the stricken vessel with its skipper back to Lyme Regis.
